Toodledo
Looking for an online task list manager?
I have been playing around with a few, and right now I am locked on to Toodledo. It is easy to add new tasks, create job or category folders. Everything is listed on 1 page, no need to click on tabs, or menu links. You can have it email your “hot list” every morning. And you can print out a task list booklet so you have a paper version of what you need to get done.
So far, I have gotten more done, and feel a little bit more organized thanks to Toodledo.
Bathroom Vanity Workday #3

The frame has finally come together. Next is the shelves, and the doors. Then it is time to stain. It is so exciting seeing this vanity come together. My uncle is a true genius when it comes to working with wood.

Bathroom Workdays 12 & 13
We keep getting closer and closer to the end.
After last weekend, and last night we are moving along.
The plumbing is all done. drains are in. Hot and cold water lines are in. Shower plumbing is in place. No more plumbing work needed.
I got the new baseboard heater hooked up. Glad I got the Home Depot book on Electrical work because the instructions that came with the heater were 100% useless.
Drywall has started to go up and cement board has started to go up around the shower. I have included this diagram of how we want the new tile shower to look. Should be cool (I hope).
Tonight we should finish the drywall and start thinking about tiling the floor… to be continued

Mother’s Day…
Over the past couple of years, I have taken to the philosophy that when it comes to my parents gifts just don’t work. But time spent together is important.
My mother is a busy person. With 2 teenagers still at home, and 3 others on their own in the big scary world, he job as Mom never seems to end.
So for Mother’s Day, I wanted to take her out.
We visited the Corner Alley on East 3rd and Euclid for some drinks and bowling with 3 of her 5 children. The Corner Alley is a great place. A nice feel. Chic, yet open, comfortable, with a bit of energy in the air from the bowling alleys in the back of the space. Now, I think that $54 for 4 people to bowl (with shoe rental) for one hour is quite ridiculous. The balls are the same, the alleys are the same, and the technology for scoring is quite similar to the $8/game lanes all around town. but this was Mother’s Day — only the best for mom.
So after a few rounds of drinks, and my brother David taking us all to the gutter with his bowling technique (granted no one bowled over 100, so it is safe to say, none of us are ready for the PBA tour), we headed over to Metropolitan Cafe.
We decided to walk, it was a very nice day, and walking around Cleveland is quite simple.
We had dinner at the Metropolitan Cafe last Mother’s Day, so I knew what to expect, and it was everything we expected.
The food is well prepared, and visually appealing. The service is attentive and polite. And the menu allows you to eat on the cheap with sandwiches and pizzas, or treat yourself (or mom) to something on the high end.
It was a lovely day. Mom was happy she got out of the house, and was able to spend a nice night downtown with her children. A smile on mom’s face it always rewarding.
